Description
A an old variety of fig that is listed in the 'The fruit manual : a guide to the fruits and fruit trees of Great Britain' book publiched in 1884. Suggesting that is varitey might used to be grown in Englnad. According to Dr. Gustav Eisen in this book titled 'The Fig: It's History, Culture and Curing', there seems to be at least two different figs with the name Reculver. One was originally found growing wild on an old wall in the village of Reculver near Kent in England. This fig resumbles the Black Provence and Marseilles Black figs.
