This fig was imported by fig collector Gene Hosey many years ago. It is an odd shaped elongated good sized green fig with a deep pink, not red, center. I have only had a few ripen so far, and they were good, but not as strongly flavored as the Adriatic type green figs, more of a sweet light fruity taste reminiscent of Atreano to me. I did not record when it ripened, but I believe it was in late September. Madina is reportedly cold hardy but I have not tested it yet.
