eboone From Zone 6 On Jul 29 2019
This fig was introduced by fig guru Hermann2 on the F4F website, it was brought from his homeland Serbia and named for his father. It is one of the earliest of all main crop figs. Brown, small-to-medium sized fig, sweet flavor often with some caramel overtones. It is also fairly cold tolerant, here in zone 6a it needs additional protection to survive wood above ground in the winter. This may be the same fig a Michurinska-10, a cold hardy fig from Bulgaria.Similar Varieties
