Description
Bass’ Favorite fig can be recognized by its dark purple/violet exterior with hints of yellow near the top and bottom. Inside this delicious fig is a rich, berry flavored fruit that has been described as a perfect blend of sweet and Acid . The fig has a largecavity, which is filled with a bright red fruit. Most of these figs are between 20-45 grams in weight, classifying them as a large size fig. The leaves of the plant usually bear 3 lobes! BUT, Bass’ Favorite does not thrive in humidity or wetness, which can cause splitting. So be sure to prevent over watering.
Trees Of Joy:
Bass' Favorite fig a beautiful, large and excellent tasting. It's a late variety and it's still ripening in November.
Trees Of Joy on January 7, 2018:
Bass' Favorite fig is among my top favorites for its satisfying flavor, quality, size and productivity. It produces a light Breba crop followed by the Main crop that starts ripening mid to late August. We've had this as an Unknown variety for a few years, but offered it last year (2017) for the first time. I am still evaluating it in ground in our cold climate.
