Description
A Francesco Lorusso variety. This is one of Lorusso’s favorites besides Oro.
Brian Melton August 23, 2020:
From the collection of Francesco Lorusso comes “Plint Nero”. This is a medium sized fig that has a very sweet figgy flavor. This is not a berry fig. It is a bit unique with all the honey pooling inside. If you noticed all the honey in the center that is because the eye is sealed shut. Nothing gets in, and the honey can’t escape. It’s a full fig of juiciness. Closed eye keeps out the critters and helps prevent splitting. Great qualities! This is a VERY good fig I am a bit surprised.
