Description
Raasti Northern Persian Unknown (Iranian Candy) was brought to the US by an Iranian immigrant. For me as grown in zone 6a, it one of the earliest figs, ripening in the same range as RdB or Florea. It is a small yellow honey fig, sweet, useful and desirable for the earliness of its season. It has smuch more variability in the size of the figs than any other which I have. My inground plant was able to ripen some figs after die back to ground level (with some winter protection). I am not certain of cold-hardiness yet. So far, I have seen a few brebas, which were not especially good.
