Brought from the village of Rose, Calabria, Italy, just north of Cosenza, by an immegrant, to Conneticut where it flourished in ground for many years.

An excellent tasting little fig. Jammy, with a hint of berry. Tastes like a Hardy Chicago yet sweeter. It has been growing and ripening here in South Florida during the strong rains with no issues on spoiling or splitting. A variety recommended for those who live in the South Easte for sure.
