Dark Berry - From mildly to very sweet, with distinct berry notes complemented by a touch of acidity. They often feature subtle complexity, with additional layers of flavor that enhance their rich and balanced profile.

Fig Type:
Common - Self fertile and will grow anywhere conditions are suitable
Grew this out as a second leaf tree and very impressed. Extremely vigorous, over six feet of growth with an inch thick trunk in one season. Set around fifteen fruit, ripened more than half. A delicious Mt. Etna with fruit a bit more tart than others. Fruit size was highly variable, likely due to fruit immaturity. Eye was fairly tight, ripened well even in wet, gray conditions.
I found this fig to be a decent all around fig. The mother trees reside on the border of USDA zone 6 and zone 7 with little to no protection. The tree is fantastic in flavor for a cold hardy tree when compared to the Chicago hardy or the Brown Turkey. The fig holds up to rain and is split resistant. The average fig size for me has been about 30 to 40 grams. it's a very jammy fig with notes of cherry and a unique hint of something resembling grape. The skin is decently thin. The mother tree shows no signs of FMV or are there any trees with recognizable signs of FMV.
