When allowed to fully develop, this fig tastes like cherry and cinnamon. Very intense, thick, rich flavor and consistency. The pulp is also very thick and dense, good seed crunch, thin skin that cracks when ripe. Mine were ripened inside, so are not dark like they would be in the sun. From second swell to ripe has been about a week, but would likely benefit from a slightly longer hang time. The eye is small, somewhat conical, with an attractive ruby red color on developing fruit. This tree appears to produce a lot of fruit, but I’ll know more in coming years. On taste alone, this is an excellent variety that I am excited to have added.
