Description
Althought the variety has an Italian name, the fig was actually a seedling found in California by John Verdick. Said to have a nice peach and or tropical flavors.

Fico Pesca D'Oro is a peach tasting fig. We have yet to taste any fruit from our Fico Pesca D' Oro tree but the flavor has been described by others as tasting like a peach. Indeed, this fig was named after its signature flavor with ‘pesca d’oro’ being the Italian words for golden fish. ‘Fico’ is Italian for ‘fig’ (both the fruit and the tree itself). The skin of Fico Pesca D’Oro is actually green and the interior is yellow near the outer edges, but fades to a dark pink near the eye—truly a beautiful fig. The trees are known to be fairly productive in growing medium-sized figs with good sweetness.
