This tree was found growing within one of California's many “fig forests”. It receives partial sun due to the surrounding trees. First year cuttings grew at a quickened rate to 2-3’ in height and width. Branches are thin. Pinching tips late in July forced nice ladders of figs at each node, as many as 8 deep on each branch. Figs all fell before ripening I believe due to lack of pollination. The flavor is a good raspberry with hints of strawberry, Granny Smith apple followed on the backside. - ”the best raspberry I've had was a fig” The seeds have a medium crunch and are noticeable in a positive way. The jammy flesh has a notable iridescent glow. It's very clean looking. The flavors are balanced with the sweetness. The bite is firm but yielding to the flesh. Some other observations Figs splitting was noticed at the mother tree and I believe it's due to being massively over pollinated. I do not think this is a Common Fig . FMV has not been seen on my tree or noticed on the mother tree. First year cuttings produced several figs when forced. Medium-fast growth rate. I believe that with proper growing conditions and pollination, this tree will yield reliably excellent medium sized figs.
