Description

The Crema di Mora fig is a unique and visually stunning fig variety known for its rich flavor and appealing appearance. Originating from California, this fig was discovered by Sacred Origin as a seedling near almond and plum orchards, indicating a robust terroir influence on its development. The fig has a striking Black or blue-ish skin, which adds to its visual allure. Inside, the flesh is a dark burgundy red, reminiscent of blackberries, creating a dramatic contrast with the outer skin.

Crema di Mora figs are celebrated for their complex and rich flavor. The taste combines notes of strawberry, blackberry, and blueberry, with a creamy texture that includes hints of banana. This blend of flavors offers a gourmet experience, making it a favorite among fig enthusiasts.

Sacred Origin on September 20, 2020:

Another unique seedling found in a ditch outside of a ranch on the side of the road near almond and plum orchards.
This fruity mixed berry flavored fig found in close proximity to the kiwi fig, the creme di mango fig and a couple others i've yet to release.
strawberry blueberry blackberry / a mixed fruit with a banana creaminess.

This fig has a tight eye is of medium size. There is a distinct blackberry and strawberry-like flavor with a creamy texture with hint of banana. This is another rich tasting fig which I've come to love.

The interior is very dark burgundy red like blackberry and exterior is Black /blue-ish.
skin is medium thick . Creme di Mora ( Blackberry Cream) dries well on tree without spoilage or fermenting.

Common! Does not require the wasp. I do not know if there is a breba crop. This fig ripens early to mid season in zone 9b.

Jed Ballou:

Crema di mora was much more dense and thick jam than the Cherry pie. The Crema di Mora is rich and thick flavors where as the cherry pie is more bright if that makes sense. Also, the crema di mora seems much more sensitive to when you pick it as to the overall outcome. A few days difference between figs on crema di mora can be huge when tasting/eating
