Description
From Michael Fons January 26, 2022:
The Exotica Strawberry Jam figs are delicious, and this is a top tier fig in my opinion, on par with White Madeira and Cherry Cordial. The figs are small to medium size, purple color, and have a beautiful red interior with an intense berry flavor that also has some tanginess to it. The leaves are mostly heart shaped and three lobbed. I bought my Exotica Strawberry Jam Fig tree from Exotica Rare Fruit Nursey in Vista, California in 2019, and the tree is currently growing in a 15-gallon pot. Exotica nursey calls this fig variety "Strawberry Jam". I added "Exotica" to the name to distinguish it from another variety called "Italian Strawberry Jam Fig" that I am growing.
- I'm not sure if this variety requires the Wasp to ripen becuase I live in a location with the wasps.
