Eric Durtschi, August 8, 2024:
This is an update on one of my seedlings. This is a cross of Conde and UCR 271-1.
I’ll let later ones ripen even longer and see how condensed I can get them but this was pretty dang good!
It has a small, syrup filled cavity with delicious medium dense pulp and a soft skin. The shape is oblong and there has been no splitting, despite HEAVY rains the past week. The eye was super tight!
Eric Durtschi, August 13, 2024:
This tree was started 3 years ago and it produced for the first time this season. It has performed very well this year. The first ones ripened during daily rains and none have split. The one from today ripened in dry weather and was fantastic!
It was very dense and jammy. Not as pasty as the CdD but very thick and mouth coating with a rich complex flavor.
This is a winner for me!
