The tree achieves a remarkable size, with a rounded crown with a very elongated branch, and thick foliage. It has a long harvest period and a high productive yield, it also produces a very early fig crop, and appreciated for its flavor. The figs are urceolados although, when they are in full maturity the form is very variable, conical or flattened. They do not present abnormal formations, low percentage of fruits, are not uniform in dimensions and symmetrical in shape. The color is from a purple green to a total purple when it is very mature. They have thin epidermis, a little rough and crack easily forming a colorful and thick line. The pulp is intense red, sweet and juicy, containing few achenes, but large. They are of medium consistency, little resistant to transport and climatic accidents, susceptible to the opening of the ostiolo, and with little ease of detachment.

I have been comparing Planera to paratjal rimada of late, and Planera is a much better fig flavorwise. The PR is a large fruit, often double the size of Planera. They do have a resemblance though.
