Third year tree finally produced and ripened fruit. Well worth the wait!! Tree in a six gallon pot set over 60 figs, most of which should ripen. Fruit is medium sized, oozing out a puddle of honey from the eye if left on the counter for a day after picking. Figs have a thick, loose jelly-like texture, with a deep, but not overly sweet berry flavor.
Many say this is a tough rooter. I have had good results rooting in Coir. Smith if a vigorous grower once established. The fruits are off yellow with sugar spots when ripe and birds seem to not attack as bad. If you did not have to wait for the sugar spots this fig would be a commercial gem at the farmers market. People must be educated and given samples first but after that they will buy them up from you. Top notch tasting berry/sugar fig with beautiful red interior.

in Seattle, WA since it ripens in early September without shuffling I think it would be good to plant in the ground. It does get tip dieback not as hardy as Chicago Hardy.
