From Tam (the person who found this variety) on 9/01/13:
The Greek owner said many years ago, his friend from Madeira Islands gave him a few green fig trees. His trees are very old. This is White Madeira No. 1. These figs were extremely sweet, jammy like dried date fruits and with a sweet, ripened strawberry flavor. They had crunchy pulps and also little crunchy on the skins. The taste and textures were extremely good and they were a little sweeter than the sweetest Smith figs that I had eaten so far. The leaves and fruits are similar to my Black Madeira.

All the attributes of a Black Madeira leaf and plant but the fruits are green and red in the center. The taste has been described as extremely sweet with a hint of dates and strawberry.
