This little tree, known as the miracle fruit is one everyone should have growing. That is, if you're in a more tropical area. It's not much of a "berry" or "fruit" that you would enjoy because it's mostly seed inside with just enough flesh to change your taste buds.
The berry itself has a low sugar content and a mildly sweet tang. It contains a glycoprotein molecule, with some trailing carbohydrate chains, called miraculin.
It originates from West Africa from what I know and grows more like a shrub than a tree. However, you can shape it to look more like a tree as you can see from my video below.
