The YouTube person plastic wrapped a soil filled styrofoam box lid and cut holes for individual cuttings. This provides moisture control. It’s pretty much a fig pop box with no humidity dome aspect.

They usually sell that mulch in bags for cheap at Lowes here, but also landscape suppliers typically carry it. Failing that, there's a lot of forests around me, I can go to old rotten stumps and harvest my own when I want REALLY fine stuff
