New here! My name is Mieke, I'm Dutch but live in the South-West of France. I am a sometimes food writer and photographer. We bought a house here 2.5 years ago and it came with two brilliant fig trees of which I've been trying to identify the type, no luck so far but hoping this forum may be the turn-around for me.
Happy to share the fig recipes I've tested so far, I've had some great success with spiced jams and with fig pickling but am hoping to work on fig barbecue and hot sauces and making a fig risotto I read about now that it's the season here.
